What Is A Ceramic Coating?

You may ask… Why are Ceramic Coatings So Expensive?
PREPARATION. the preparation to begin the coating application takes TIME. On average proper ceramic coatings take up to 10-16 hours. Factors such as vehicle condtion, if paint correction is done, coating duration determine how long it will take to complete the service.
DURABILITY. Ceramic coatings are one of the most durable and advanced forms of paint protection there is to protect your car for YEARS without changing the look of your car. Alternatives are bug shields, car covers when parked, vinyl wraps and PPF (which wraps & PPF both can be coated too!). These are great options, but many change the AESTHETIC of your vehicle.
TRAINING. in order to properly install a ceramic coating, we put ourselves through education. Learning the complete process - from the washing, paint prep, paint correction to finishing with a high glossed and protected vehicle. Our work isn’t left to chance but to EXPERIENCE and TRAINING.
How Does A Ceramic Coating Work?
After the ceramic coating is applied to the paint, it is as if your vehicle has an extra layer of ultra durable, scratch resistant, and hydrophobic skin. Ceramics are designed to protect against everything that touches the paint from the outside world: bird droppings, bugs, rain, pollen, surface scratches, and much more.
While normal auto detailing services can help clean and protect the paint temporarily, ceramic coatings form a sort of shield that protect your investment until the day it’s traded in which means more money in your pocket! Washing and maintaining your car is inconvenient and tiresome…

Do you come to me?
Yes, we’re mobile-based so we can perform this service at your location. We service Champions Gate Florida and surrounding areas. The duration of this service will depend on the size and condition of your vehicle. For that, we’ll need anywhere from 6 to 10 hours to complete the entire ceramic coating based on these factors.
Can I get only the Ceramic Coating?
Of course. We are here to please and service all of our clients according to what you each request - to save you time and money. We will always complete a full decontamination wash the exterior to provide the proper prep work to ensure the maximum amount of the benefits of the coating as possible. Not being able to have the prep work done will result in a decrease of results and desired protection that you expect - even shortening its life span.
Paint correction of any level will significantly increase the quality, value and benefits of your coating. We have multiple options that include a paint enhancement polish for the best possible results.
How long do I have to wait for the coating to cure?
When any Ceramic Coating is being applied, there is a cure time that it must go through so the coating can cure into the paint and get 100% of the coating strength & worth. It’s recommended that you wait about 12 to 24 hours for the coating to fully cure before driving or exposing to water. After that we advise to not wash the vehicle for at least 1 week, 2-3 weeks for best results.
Can the Ceramic Coating help with the paint work?
To some degree, but the paint correction preparation will help fix the minor to moderate imperfections that the paint will have. The ceramic coating will only be beneficial to protect the current condition of the paint. So if your paint has fading, cracking/chips or etching from bugs and bird poop already in the paint it will not fix those aspects of your paint work, at that point it would have to be repainted.
How can I maintain the vehicle after a paint correction?
You can maintain the vehicle with a preferred two bucket method (1 bucket for rinsing, another with the soap) and a delicate microfiber wash mitt to reduce adding any swirls and scratches to your vehicle. Our Maintenance Detail Plan is also a great option to ensure the look of your vehicle continues to have that new, showroom look & feel - without doing the work yourself. Your detail subscription options are weekly, bi-weekly or monthly and we can setup a customized plan beyond this that fits your specific needs. We also include annual inspection details in our multi-year ceramic coatings.
Why Apply Ceramic Coating?
Ideally the goal is to protect your car’s paint from fading, which is where hand waxing and other protective sealants come into play. The biggest issue with most vehicles is that action isn't taken fast or often enough. Let's talk about a few ways this could actually happen to your vehicle so we can prevent it from happening. below you can see a diagram of what layers our vehicle’s paint consists of.
what are the different things we are trying to protect from?
Firstly, the sun is by far your biggest threat when it comes to causing your cars paint to fail. the sun's harmful ultraviolet rays can cause a clear coat to fade OR otherwise known as oxidation. We'll provide a picture so you can better understand what it may look like.
Now, if your vehicle ever gets to this condition it wont be the end of the world. This could be restored and fixed with repainting your vehicle at a body shop, which we all know can cost you tons of money. One of the biggest control factors when it comes to your car, is where you take it to get washed and how it gets washed. Automatic car washes get a bad rep from many car detailing professionals simply because they wash dozens if not thousands of vehicles a day without properly cleaning or restoring their brushes or equipment.
